I like him, he's cute. I think there might be too many colours and that some are not quite right but he looks good. I really should think of something to do with him.
This week I am going to make a crochet elephant. I decided this morning as soon as I saw the pin my friend posted on pinterest. I have some grey 4ply and I'm using my small 2mm hook so it should turn out all small and tight, hopefully.
Speaking of pinterest I'm almost at 100 followers, which is kinda kool. Shame no one watches me here. I have several nice projects planned soon plus as the weather picks up, unlike that freak march snow when I was trying to have my mummy and me day, I hope to have some photo shoots to share some of my clothes.
The cookies where amazing, everyone who had one loved them. They where crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside just as a cookie should be. I need to make more today to go in come ice cream. So challenge successful.
The recipe is:
4oz / 100g. Light brown sugar
5oz / 125g. Caster sugar
5oz / 125g. Butter / marg
1. Large egg
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
9oz / 225g. Self raising flour
8oz / 200g. Chocolate chips
1, Mix together butter and sugars until soft and smooth
2, Mix in egg
3, Mix in flour
4, Mix in chocolate chips
5, Spoon teaspoons of mix onto a covered baking sheet, leave plenty of space between as cookies will spread
6, Bake for 10-12 min at 180C, gas 4
And the next challenge is a cross stitch squid, not sure what I'm going to do with him when he is done but he looks cute so far.
This Sunday is mothers day which makes Monday "Mummy and me day" I have the day all booked off work and have it all planned out. A trip to the big craft shop then back to mummy's for tea, cookies crumpets and a afternoon of making.
So this week I am making white chocolate chip cookies for my mummy. I have my new stand mixer now, which is awesome, so it will be really easy. I even have all the ingredients in the cupboard waiting to go.
This weeks challenge did not go very well, I only made 1 bow in the end.
I bought 4 1m lengths of lovely cross grain ribbon from the shop on Saturday, and curled up on the sofa that night to make me a pile of bows. I was just sealing the ends of the ribbon with a candle when it caught light and I burnt my finger putting it out. So I sat for the rest of the night with my finger in cold water watching pride and prejudice and contemplating my stupidity.
On a happier note I finished my new bag on Thursday and will post about it with lots of pictures soon, I think I will line it though, make it a bit more sturdy and robust. The bag does look good and I am very pleased with it.
